We can hope in Christ. We can hope in the beauty of little Kaylah’s smile. Each of us can make a difference within our own small circle. You and Ruth make a difference in many lives – including ours.

Spending time with Ruth, Kaylah and yourself was just great this week end – even if the fish did not bite and swam free. (There’s too many bones in yellow perch anyhow!!)

Joel, I’m not sure how serious you are here but I can assure you — as a psychology researcher — that ALL research conducted at or affiliated with an academic institution is subjected to rigorous ethical evaluation before participants can even be recruited. The stringent ethical requirements that must be met by researchers are in large part a consequence of the inhumane abuse of power by researchers past; while we, as researchers, find the ethics approval process to be tedious and time consuming, I think that you’d be hard-pressed to find a researcher who didn’t also value the ethical developments that have occurred over the last half-decade.

You are not allowed to complain like that about Valentine’s! Since we have been together there has not been a single Valentine’s day where you have not received a present. I spend ages trying to figure out what you would like that you haven’t already bought yourself. I have even bought special items that although they may have been bought for me to wear are totally for you. Give me a list of the things that you have bought me for Valentine’s day honey, or mother’s day. The presents you get are always better (for you anyway)

Hi Joel, thanks for the mentioning and reading my blog. I hope you found it informative, and am glad you can see the advantages, but also the limitations of index funds / ETFs. PDS is a nice value stock. But it doesn’t pay a dividend at the moment though, as they are focusing 100% on Grey Wolf acquisition debt-reduction.

Kaylah is quite the little lady! with an sense of who she is in relation to the world. You and Ruthie are doing a GREAT job with her. I just love her!!
